Calcined Clay

Calcined Clay

Calcined clay, also known as metakaolin, is a material produced by heating clay to temperatures between 650°C & 750°C. This process changes the clay’s chemical properties, making it a valuable supplementary cementitious material (SCM) that can be used as a partial substitute for clinker in cement production.
